Since airstrikes began on November 14, 2012, more than 40 Palestinians have been killed—including children and at least one pregnant woman, according to news reports. Hundreds have been injured.

The already-volatile environment has now been made more uncertain with renewed violence across the region—from Gaza to Bethlehem to Jerusalem, and areas in between. Many Palestinians who struggle every day in impoverished conditions find themselves yet again without vital resources.

Buildings, schools and homes have been destroyed. Numerous Palestinians have been rendered homeless, and thousands of young children are living in a constant state of fear.

Islamic Relief projects in the region have included food distribution, medical relief and orphan sponsorship.
