The Islamic Center of Central Missouri is home to a very diverse and dynamic community composed of, among others, indigenous Muslims, international students and immigrants.
History
The Islamic Center of Central Missouri was established in 1983 as a mosque and community center for the central Missouri region. It is the only mosque in Columbia. For a list of other mosques in Missouri, visit iccm.org/mosques-in-missouri
The Islamic Center welcomes visitors at all times in order foster a culture of tolerance and understanding in central Missouri. The prayer times (shown on the front page) in particular, are excellent times to visit the center in order to meet local Muslims and observe Muslims worship. If you do plan a visit to the Islamic Center, please keep in mind to dress modestly (long pants and long sleeved shirts are a good rule of thumb) and be sensitive to Islamic customs. At all times, feel free to email [email protected] to schedule a group visit or clear any doubts about visiting.
