The Islamic Center of Central Missouri |
We are really excited to see so many new faces in Columbia this fall. Warm welcome to new students and their families. Here is a quick checklist put together by Muslim students as you begin this year: 1 - Know your class schedule 2 - Find other Muslim students and professors in your class, program or your school building who pray the five daily prayers on time. Join them in congregation to multiply your reward- Whenever possible pray at one of the six designated prayer spaces on campus. Here is a list http://www.mizzoumso.org/prayer-locations-on-campus.html 3 - Visit the Muslim Student Organization and meet the team who puts all the effort into ensuring your year as a Muslim is a successful one 4 - Attend Eid Dinner (Aug 30, 6pm) at the Benton Bingham ballroom at Memorial Union in the University of Missouri. It is one of the largest dinners organized by MSO during the fall 5 - Drop by the Islamic Center if you are looking for a quiet space for study or if you have any ideas worth sharing. We are always glad to listen to how we can better serve the community. 6 - Print your monthly prayer time schedule for Columbia, Missouri at Islamic Finder 7 - Subscribe to the Mizzou MSO newsletter to get weekly updates on the Muslim Students' Organization 8 - Subscribe to the ICCM newsletter to get the latest updates on the ICCM 9 - During class, at home or at your work place strive to develop seven habits of a Productive Muslim
