ICCM's Response To Donald Trump’s Executive Order on Immigration

​On Friday, January 27, 2017, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order which limits entry of non-US Citizens to the United States from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen for at least 90 days. The order also suspends entry of refugees from any country for at least 120 days and entry of refugees from Syria indefinitely.
 
The Islamic Center of Central Missouri is deeply troubled by this Executive Order of closing of the border, particularly to the most vulnerable of humanity. We encourage everyone to contact their House and Senate representatives to voice their opposition regarding this Executive Order.
 
The Islamic Center of Central Missouri would also like to thank everyone in the Columbia community for the outpouring of support that we have receiving. We would like to thank everyone who has reached out in solidarity during these troubling times. The support we have received reminds us of the immense honor that we have of belonging to such a thoughtful and caring community.
