1. Congratulations to Br. Kamau Bilal and Sr. Arwa Abdelhadi on the birth of twin girls. Babies and mother are doing well. May Allah raise them as good Muslimah's, Ameen.

2.  The Friday tafseer program will continue tonight after Ishaa at the ICCM.

3. The Women's Eid Party hosted by the Women's Committee will be tomorrow, Sat. Nov. 11 at Elks Lodge at 6pm.

4. On Saturday, November 18th the Rabbaniyah Youth Group will Fajr breakfast for the kids and parents and there will a talk given by Dr. Ibrahim and Dr. Nabila about strengthening family bonds.

5. Discover Islam upcoming lectures:
  • Islam and Human Values on Tuesday November 14. Given by Dr. Shakir Hamoodi.
  • Islam and Education: Contributions of Muslims to World Civilization(Development and Improvement) on Thursday November 30. Given by Dr. Ibrahim Khaleel. 
    • Both lectures are given at MU Strickland, Room 109 starting 6:00 pm.

1. Daylight savings begins this Sunday, Nov. 5th. Please remember to set your clocks back one hour tomorrow night.
        Please note the change in prayer times beginning Sunday, Nov. 5.
  • Fajr – 5:45 am
  • Asr – 3:30 pm
2. The Friday tafseer program will continue tonight after Ishaa.
3. The Rabbaniyah youth program will meet this Saturday from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the ICCM.
4. There will be ICCM free Clinic tomorrow from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm
5. Fundraising GALA in Clayton, MO (St Louis area) is on Sunday Nov 5 at 6:00 pm (Please see flyer posted around the ICCM).
 
6. Discover Islam upcoming lectures:
  • A lecture entitled: Quran, Science and Humanity on Thursday November 09. Given by Dr. Rashed Nizam.
  • A lecture entitled: Islam and Human Values on Tuesday November 14. Given by Dr. Shakir Hamoodi. Both lectures are given at MU Strickland, Room 114 starting 6:00 pm.
7. There will be womens halaqa tonight at 7 pm and on Sat. Nov. 11 there will be a ladies Eid Party at Elks Lodge at 6pm.
8. Due to the time change the advanced Arabic class will take place between Maghreb and Ishaa at the ICCM.

1. Please note that Fajr iqama will be at 6:30 am starting Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017

2. The ISCM would like to invite the community to their Annual Biryani Night and Hajj Simulation. It will take place on Saturday Oct. 28 at 5:00 pm at Gentry Middle School

3. The Friday Tafseer halaqa will continue tonight after Ishaa at the ICCM.

4. The ICCM is in process of developing a class for new Muslims if interested, please leave your contact information at the ICCM office.

5.  The ICCM Advanced Arabic class is offered every Wednesday at 5:30 pm at the ICCM. If interested please contact the ICCM office.

6. The ICCM would like to thank all who attended and participated in the Food fest and ICCM Open House this past Sunday.

ICCM Announcements

8/26/2017

 
  1. Eid Al-Adha will be on Friday, Sept. 1 at Cosmos Park, Nickell Shelter. The takbeerat will begin at 8:00 am and the prayer will be at 8:30 am. The Eid Picnic will take place the following weekend on Sat. Sept. 9th at Bethel Park.
  2. The Muslim Student and Saudi Student Associations will be hosting a Community iftar dinner at the ICCM on the day of Arafat, Thursday, August 31st.
  3. The ICCM would like to announce the First call for GA meeting that will take place on Sunday, Sept. 10th at the ICCM after Dhur prayer.
  4. The Islamic School of Columbia Missouri is starting an after school program for middle school students and up that will take place on Monday’s and Thursday’sfrom 3:30 -5:30 pm. The program will be taught by Abla Fadiah. The after school hafidth program has started and is ongoing, if interested in any of these programs please contact the ISCM Office.
  5. The Ghazali weekend school registration is open. Please visit ICCM website for more information. The school information is located under the Education tab.
  6. The ICCM is planning to start a bi-weekly class for new Muslims, but the class is open to anyone who would like to attend. If interested, please contact the ICCM office.
  7.  The 2017 ICCM elections will take place in September. The Nomination process for eligible Shura, Operating Council, and Education Board positions is currently ongoing and will conclude on September 2nd (Isha time). To submit a nomination, please fill out the nomination form and place it in the designated nomination box. Please note that each nomination has to be seconded with two active members. If you have any questions, please contact anyone from the ICCM Administration or Election Committee.
  8. If you are interested in cooking for the St. Francis house please email iccmsff2006@gmail.com to schedule. If you are unable to cook, you may donate $50.00 to the ICCM office manager or Br. Irfan.
  9. We thank Allah SWT for each good deed (hassanah) that any of us do and we say Jazak Allahu khairan for the good (hassanah) that benefits every individual in our community and our Ummah at large. We encourage everyone to make efforts to do more good deeds (hassanah), as an example, praying Fajr in the Masjid. If you are unable to attend everyday, help to develop or join a team committed to regular monthly, weekly or daily Fajr prayer at the Masjid as you duties allow, with a plan to increase. The more good we do, Allah (SWT) with His Mercy will remove hardship from our path. Please join or develop a group/team suitable to you.

  1. ​Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return). The Mother of Sr. Awatef Ben Ramadan, passed away on Sunday, July 30th in Libya. May Allah forgive her of her shortcomings and grant her Jannah, and May Allah grant her family patience. Ameen. 
  2. The ICCM Administration would like to share good news that starting August 1, 2017: a)Br. Misbahu Ali is serving as Imam. His duties are very similar to his predecessors: Sheikh Said Mohamed - rahimahu Allahu, and Br. Abdelsalam Hassan. b)  Br. Shakir Hamoodi is serving as Imam/Outreach Officer. More details will be shared at a later time. May Allah (swt) facilitate the job of these two brothers and enable us as a community to benefit from their services.
  3. The ICCM Election Committee pleased to announce that the Nomination process for eligible Shura Council, Operating Council, and Education Board positions for ICCM 2017 Election will be conducted from August 03 through September 02 (Isha time). To submit a nomination, please fill out the nomination form and place it in the designated nomination box. Please note that each nomination has to be seconded with two active members. Forms and boxes can be found on both men's and women's sides of the center. The Election Committee will verify all submissions in accordance with Article VI Section 3a of the ICCM Constitution. If you have any questions, please contact anyone from the ICCM Administration or Election Committee.
  4. The ICCM Membership Drive has re-opened. We encourage everyone to sign up to be an ICCM active member. You will find membership forms and boxes located next to the ICCM nomination forms.
  5. The Friday Tafseer program will continue tonight after Ishaa. 
  6. Brothers Rabbaniyah Swimming& basketball at the ARC from 5:45 pm – 10pm this Sunday. The cost is $5 for non-Rabbaniyah members, children 6 and under need to be accompanied by an Adult. Space is limited, if interested in attending please contact Br. Adam Mefrakis ahead of time at 573-825-7972 or amerfrakis@gmail.com.
  7. The ICCM will be participating in the International Center’s International Welcome Picnic 2017 on Tuedasy Aug. 15 from 1-4 pm in Peace Park.

  1. Please note new iqama times:  Fajr - 5:15 am and Ishaa - 10:00 pm. All other times will remain the same. 
  2. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return). The Uncle of Br. Abdelmoneim Elfagir, Naser Ben Ramadan, passed away on Sunday, July 23rd in Italy. May Allah forgive him of his short comings and grant him Jannah, and May Allah grant his family patience. Ameen. 
  3. The ICCM Membership Drive has re-opened as we will be having ICCM elections on September 24,2017. Membership enrollment and the ICCM election timeline will be posted over the next week on the ICCM Bulletin boards. We encourage everyone to sign up to be an ICCM active member. 
  4. If you would like to drop anything off at the ICCM (clothing, furniture, books, etc.) please contact the ICCM office prior to doing so. You may call the office at 573-875-4633 and/or contact the Office manager directly.
  5. The Friday Tafseer program will continue tonight after Ishaa. 
  6. The ICCM is participating in the school supply drive for the Boone County Back to School Health Fair. You will see bins close to the mens and womens entrances. Please donate school supplies and backpacks.
  7. The Rabbaniyyah Youth group is currently having a food drive for the Tiger Pantry (between July 13 – July 31). Please drop off canned or boxed food items and/or toiletries in the yellow bins located in the ICCM. 
  8. If you are interested in cooking for the St. Francis house please email iccmsff2006@gmail.com to schedule. If you are unable to cook, you may donate $50.00 to the ICCM office manager or Br. Irfan.

  1. Alhamdulillah, Br. Yusuf Bana is doing much better and has been transferred to Rusk Rehabilitaion. He sends his salam to the community. May Allah give him shifaa. Please keep him and your family in your duaa.
  2. Please note that beginning tomorrow, Sat.June 3rd, the iqama for Ishaa prayer will be at 10:10 pm.
    1. All other prayer times will remain the same (Fajr: 4:35am, Dhur - 1:30pm, Asr - 5:30pm, Maghreb, 10 minutes after sunset.)
  3. InshaAllah tonight and tomorrow night, the ICCM  will be conducting fundraising during Taraweh for the ICCM. Tonight will focus on maintenance items and tomorrow will focus on the programs at the ICCM.
  4. The ICCM would like to thank our Saudi community for hosting the community dinner last Sunday at the ICCM. InshaAllah there will be community dinners this Saturday, hosted by the Choudhry family and Sunday, hosted by our Libyan community at the ICCM. The entire community is invited. May Allah bless them for their efforts and for feeding the community. Ameen
  5. The fiqh essentials program will be conducting qiyam night for youth in 8th grade and above. InshaAllah they will be discussing tahara, have open discussions, pray Jama’ah two rakah qiyam and learn how to pray qiyam individually. This program is for young men.
  6. There are still some slots avaialbe to cook for the ICCM during the month of Ramadan. Please contact the ICCM womens committee if interested.

  1. Congratulations to the Muslim community for upcoming Ramadan, may Allah grant all of us the ability to benefit from this blessed month. Ameen.
    • Ramadan will begin tomorrow, Sat. May 27
    • Taraweeh prayer will start tonight Friday, May 26
  2. Please note the new prayer times below, beginning May 27th 2017.
    1. Fajr - 4:35 am
    2. Ishaa - 10:05 pm
    3. All other prayer times will remain the same (Dhur - 1:30pm, Asr - 5:30pm, Maghreb, 10 minutes after sunset.)
  3. The Ramadan calendar is available outside the prayer hall and in the activity rooms. Please take as many as you need and share it with family and friends.
  4. Merryum Munir, daughter of Munir Nasreen Ahmed is having a bone marrow transplant tomorrow in St. Louis. May Allah give her shifaa and a successful transplant. The family asks the community to continue to make duaa for her.
  5. Muslims at the University and VA hospitals will be holding Friday prayer at the University Hospital Chapel (first floor, near the main entrance, just left to the information desk) for those who are unable to attend Jumuah prayer at the ICCM. The khutba and prayer will start 12:20 and conclude at 12:45 inshAllah.
  6. ICCM Construction update: The carpet in the Sister hall will be completed tomorrow inshaAllah. The womens activity room will be used by our sisters during taraweh tonight.
  7. There will be community dinners this Saturday and Sunday at the ICCM. The entire community is invited. Please note that the iftar dinner on Sunday will be provided and hosted by our Saudi community. May Allah bless them for their efforts and for feeding the community. Ameen.

1- The new iqama times beginning Sat. April 29 will be as follows:

2- This is the final Call for the Annual ICCM General Assembly meeting scheduled for Saturday April 29 after Dhuhr prayer at the ICCM.

3- There are still two more lectures in the series of lectures Discover Islam:
The Sixth lecture is going to be about 'Women in Islam' given by Sr. Humera Lodhi, on Thursday May 4th. The last lecture is going to be given by Dr. Ibrahim Khaleel on the Importance of Knowledge and Education in the life of a Muslim. Both lectures are conducted at the MU Student Center, Room 209, from 6:00pm to 7:30 pm.

4- The ICCM annual membership drive is ongoing and will conclude today Friday, April 28th after Ishaa prayer. All are strongly encouraged to become ICCM active members.

7 The Mid Mo Fellowship of Reconciliation (FOR) will be hosting “A potluck dinner and town hall on Race, Refugees and Immigration.” It will take place at 6 pm on Thursday May 4th at the Missouri United Methodist church.
 
8 - There are no Friday lunches today.

9 - A calendar for all ICCM activities and events can be found on the ICCM website (theiccm.org) under the ICCM Calendar tab.
 
10 - Please download the “Muslim Directory” app on your smartphone. It will be used to actively communicate with all community members. For more information please find a Handbill flyer at the ICCM.

3- A Thank you Message from the ICCM Administration to the Women Committee and Muslim Women in general:

Your recent Fund Raiding activities helped energize the community to support the ICCM and generate funds that help with remodeling and conducting programs. May Allah (swt) bless their work and reward them the best reward."
 
4- There will be a women’s halaqa tonight at 7:00 pm entitled Ramadan Marathon Part 1. All sisters are invited and encouraged to attend. The lecture will be given by Sr. Fatten Elkomy.
 
5- The Islamic School is inviting the community to their program, A Taste Around the World. It will take place tomorrow evening, April 22nd at 5 pm at Smithton middle school. Cost is $10/person or $30/family
 
6- There are still two more lectures in the series of lectures Discover Islam:
