The Islamic School of Columbia MO would like to invite parents of ISCM students to meet to discuss the location of the school for the upcoming school year. This will take place tomorrow, Sat. May 14 after Dhurprayer (1:50 pm - 2:45 pm) in the ICCM Activity room.
The community is invited to attend the "Nakba Tour: The Exiled Palestinians" which will take place in the Friends Room of the Columbia Public Library on Tuesday May 17 at 7pm. The speakers are Umm Akram, now 86, who was forced to flee her village of Al-Zeeb in Palestine with her husband at 18 and has lived in refugee camps in Lebanon ever since and Amena Ashkar who is in her 20s and lived her entire life in a refugee camp in Lebanon. They will also be visiting the ICCM at noon on Tuesday and would like to meet and chat with any members of the community who can come at that time. Sheikh Abdullah Waheed, the Islamic Director from Flint, Michigan will be coming to Columbia on May 19th-21st for a weekend of workshops and lectures for our community.
The ICCM Free medical clinic will take place next Sat. May 14th between10:30am and 1:30 pm.
The new program entitled “Fiqh Essentials” will continue tomorrow, Sat. May 14th after Maghreb at the ICCM. Parents & all community members are welcome as well.
The ISCM is hiring preferably a certified elementary teacher (K-5) for the 2016-2017 school year.
ISCM Graduation and awards ceremony is on May 22 at 10 am at the ISCM.
