Imam Abdullah will discuss some of the following topics in his lecture before Ishaa:

The thirteenth juz of the Qur’an starts at Surah Yusuf ayah 53 and goes to the end of Surah Ibraheem.  In these verses, Some of the points that Allah talks about are:

  1. Allah informs us that he will never let any of the good actions go unnoticed and that the reward of the hereafter is better for those who believe and are pious.    Verses 56-57
  2. Allah tells us how Yusuf told his brothers (who did not recognize him) to bring their other brother back in order for them to get more food.  When they went back to Ya’qooba and told him that they wanted their brother Benjamin to go back to Egypt with them, Ya’qoob said to them shall I send him with you and you will watch over him the same way you watched over Yusuf??  So, they convinced him to let Benjamin go.  Then Yusuf put some items in Benjamin’s bag on purpose in order that he can make Benjamin stay with him.  Verses 59-84.
  3. Allah tells us in Suratur-Ra’d that only those who have understanding will be reminded.  Those are the ones who fulfill their covenant of Allah and join what Allah has commanded for them to join and they fear their Lord.  They are patient and they establish the prayer and spend in charity.  These are the people who shall have paradise    Verses 19-24
  4. Allah tells us that from the description of Paradise is that beneath it rivers flow.  Its fruit and shade are everlasting.  This is the reward for the righteous  Verse 35
  5. Allah tells us in Surah Ibraheem that he has promised us that if we were to be appreciative for the things that we were given that Allah would increase us.  However, if we were not appreciative then the punishment of Allah is severe. Verses 7
  6. Allah tells us not to ever think that Allah is unaware of the wrongdoers.  He said that he only delays them and their punishment until a day when their eyes will stare out of horror.  The people who have done wrong will say: our Lord, delay us for a short period of time, we will answer your call and follow your messengers.  So, it will be said: Had you not sworn, before, that for you there would be no cessation?  verses 42-52

May Allah bless all of us and guide us all in our affairs.
