Imam Abdullah will discuss the following topics in his Ramadan Daily dars before Ishaa:

The twelth juz of the Qur’an starts at Surah Hood ayah 6 and goes to Surah Yusuf ayah 52.  In these verses, Some of the points that Allah talks about are:

  1. Allah informs us that those who prefer this life and its beauty will have their just due in this life.  However, they are the ones who will be in the Hell fire in the hereafter.    Verse 15

  2. Allah informs us about the story of Nuh (Alayhi Salaam).  He informs us how Nuh commanded his people not to worship other than Allah.  His people rejected his message even after numerous attempts at conveying the message of tawheed to them.  After years of giving dawah to his people, they finally said that they were tired of all of his warnings of this punishment and for him to bring it if he was truthful.  So, Allah commanded Nuh to build a ship because the disbelievers were going to be drowned.  At the end of his story Allah commands us to have patience because the final outcome will be for the pious.   Verses 25-49.

  3. Allah also informs us about the story of Hood, Saalih, Lut, Shuayb, and Musa (Alayhim Salaam) and how they all gave dawah to their people and they were rejected.  Allah destroyed all of them and we should reflect on how Allah dealt with the people who do not accept the message. Verses 50-109

  4. Allah begins Surah Yusuf by telling us the beginning of the story of Yusuf how he saw in his dream 11 stars, the Sun, and the Moon prostrating to him.  He told this dream to his father Ya’qoob and his father told him not to inform his brothers about this dream.  Verses 4-5

  5. Allah tells us about how Yusuf’s brothers plotted against him because they felt that Yusuf and Benjamin were more beloved to their father than them.  So, they asked their father to send Yusuf with them in order to play and that they would watch over him.  When they went to play, they threw him in the well and told their father that a wolf ate him and brought to him a shirt with fake blood.  Upon hearing this, Ya’qoob immediately turned the affair over to Allah and was patient.  Verses 7-18

  6. Allah tells us that a caravan came by and found Yusuf and took him to Egypt and sold him for a cheap price.  The one who bought him told his wife to raise him and treat him like a son.  Once he because older, Allah said that he gave him wisdom and knowledge    verses 19-22

May Allah bless all of us and guide us all in our affairs.
