Imam Abdullah will discuss the following topics in his Ramadan Daily dars before Ishaa:

The ninth juz of the Qur’an starts at Suratul-A’raaf ayah 88 and goes to Suratul-Anfaal ayah 40.  In these verses, Some of the points that Allah talks about are:

  1. Allah informs us that if the people believed and feared Allah in a way that he desearved to be feared that he would bestowed upon them the blessings from the heavens and the earth.  However, they didn’t believe so Allah punished them. Verse 96

  2. Allah asks if the people have become secure from the punishment of Allah.  Do they think that the punishment will not come to them?  Do they think that Allah does not see them or know what they are doing?  Allah tells us that only ones who feel secure from the punishment of Allah are those who are lossers Verses 97-99

  3. Allah informs us about the story of Musa (Alayhi Salaam) and how he was sent to Pharaoh with signs but he rejected the message of Musa.  Musa threw down his staff and it turned into a snake.  He also reached into his shirt and pulled it out and it was white with radiance.  Some of the advisors of Pharaoh told him that this was all magic and that all of the great magicians of the land should be gathered in order to battle.  When the great magicians did their magic and caused the people to become fearful, Musa threw down his staff and it devoured what the magicians were falsifying.  At that point the magicians fell down in prostration to Allah because they knew that this was not magic that was coming from Musa.    Verses 103-126

  4. Allah commands the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) to tell the people that he is the messenger of Allah to all of humanity, that Allah gives life and death so we should believe in Allah and his messenger so that we may be rightly guided. Verse 158

  5. Allah ends Suratul-A’raaf by commanding with the remembrance of our Lord within ourselves out of humility and fear, in the morning and the evening.  He informs us that those who are close to Allah do not allow arrogance to prevent them from worship and that they exalt him and prostrate to him. Verses 205-206

  6. Allah begins Suratul-Anfaal by commanding us to fear Allah and amend that which is between us and to obey Allah and the Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam). Allah tells us that those who believe when Allah is mentioned their hearts become fearful. And when the verses are recited it raises them levels in faith and they rely upon their Lord    verses 1-2

May Allah bless all of us and guide us all in our affairs.
