Imam Abdullah will discuss some of the following topics in his Ramadan Daily dars before Ishaa:

The sixth juz of the Qur’an starts at Suratun-Nisaa ayah 148 and goes to Suratul-Maaidah ayah 81.  In these verses, Some of the points that Allah talks about are:

  1. Allah begins this juz by mentioning that he hates evil speech, whether it is lying, slandering, backbiting, cursing, and all forms of evil speech.  He mentions that it is ok for those who have been wronged to raise issues of concern to those who have the ability to do something about it.  Allah, however, encourages us to pardon and do good deeds and Allah will reward us for that. verses 148-150
  2. Allah informs us that he has revealed his message to Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) just like he revealed his message to prophets and messengers before him.  So, him being sent as a messenger should not be very strange thing.  Allah mentions that there are prophets that he informed us about and others that he didn’t.  That shows us the great amount of prophets and messengers that were sent to the people. Verses 163-165
  3. Allah ends Suratun-Nisaa by talking about the ruling of the inheritance of the one who does not have any heirs that were mentioned at the beginning of the surah.  Allah will make everything clear to us that we need in order to practice his religion.   Verse 176
  4. Allah begins Suratul-Maaidah by commanding the people to fulfill their contracts.  He then explains some of the animals which were made permissible for us to eat. verse 1
  5. Allah mentions the different types of animals that are not permissible for us to eat.  He also mentions that he has perfected our religion for us and has chosen Islam as our way of life.  verse 3
  6. Allah prohibits us from allowing the hatred that the people show towards us prevent us in dealing with them in a just manner.  Rather we have to always deal with people justly.  verse 8
  7. Allah tells us the story of the two sons of Adam.  Where they both slaughtered an animal and one was accepted and the other was not.  So, one of the sons attempted to kill the other.  The son that was being killed refused to retaliate and ended up being killed. verses 27-32

May Allah bless all of us and guide us all in our affairs.
