Imam Abdullah will discuss some of the following topics in his Ramadan Daily dars before Ishaa:

The fifth juz of the Qur’an starts at Suratun-Nisaa ayah 24 and goes to Suratun-Nisaa ayah 147.  In these verses, Some of the points that Allah talks about are:

  1. Allah prohibits us from taking our wealth from each other unjustly which includes stealing, cheating, gambling, and outright wasteful spending.  Then Allah allowed for people to trade amongst themselves as long as the conditions are met that Allah has legislated for us. verses 29-30.
  2. Allah informs us that he has made men the protectors and maintainers of the women.  This means that Allah has made men responsible for making sure that the women perform their duties to Allah and stay away from sin.  This also means that men are responsible for the provisions of women. verse 34
  3. Allah mentions the verse which some of the scholars call “the verse of the rights of ten.  This is because Allah mentions in this ayah his rights along with the rights of nine others: Parents, relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the far neighbor, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hand posses.   Verse 36
  4. Allah commands us to obey him and his messenger unconditionally, and to obey those in authority as long as it does not make us disobedient to Allah.  He also commands us that when we disagree on issues that we must refer those issues back to the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) verse 59
  5. Allah prohibits us from opposing the Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). He also informs us that following a way other than the way of the Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)   and the way of the believers will lead us to the Hell Fire.  verse 115
  6. Allah commands us to stand firm and be truthful witnesses for Allah, even if it is against our own selves or parents and relatives.  Whether the person is rich or poor, we cannot allow for our desires to stop us from being truthful witnesses.  verse 135
  7. Allah ends this juz with talking about the munaafiqeen (hypocrites). He informs us that they shall receive a terrible punishment.  They take the disbelievers as allies, they try to deceive Allah, lazily standing in prayer, and not remembering Allah. Allah informs us that the hypocrites will be in the deepest depths of the Hell Fire. verses 138-147

May Allah bless all of us and guide us all in our affairs.
